Flower Shop tutorial -Part 2-
Good morning friends :)Last time I showed you how to put together the main building for the shop so today we're going to work on the interior.
Go grab your cup of tea, take a deep breath and let's begin!
♥ "Wood panel" effect ♥
This is a very simple way to add a touch of elegance to any room and the materials you need for the making are:
♥ Gesso (or Primer, used to prepare canvases to be painted)
♥ thin cardboard
The pieces I did are 0.6 x 8.2 cm.
My advice is; do the base first and glue the boards one by one leaving a very small space between each one.

Detail after the gesso |
When the gesso is dry, it's ready to be painted. I chose ochre for the base color.
NOTE: all the painting is done using acrylics.
You can see there are more boards on the corners, this helps in 2 ways: in case you had problems in the corners with the wallpaper *giggles* and second, it adds a division to the space.
See the cap in the corner? it's a chestnut color gel to stain surfaces. If you don't have this, you can use shoe's wax in a brown tone (I use it before and looks simply great, you have to polish it after applying it!)

After the gel |
Now we work the inside of the facade. Like we did with the main structure, the 1st step is adding cardboard to make the facade stronger. later the wallpaper.
In this step you do the same wood panel we did before. If it's going to open like a box, add the hinges as shown.
Remember to leave space for the door and window frames. I left 0.6 cm, meaning that the frames will be 0.6 cm W.
Paint it.

The door is ready!! |
♥ Ironwork ♥
The trick is simple: the base is black, on top I added another gel in a dark copper tone. If you don't have one, don't worry :) you can do the trick with any copper or bronze tone acrylic. Apply small parts with a dry brush.
Part 2 of the tutorial is complete :) Next one will be up on Friday. We are going to work on the exterior facade.
Hope you're enjoying it as much as I do.
Thank you!
